LIPS is part of Layereds collaboration with renowned Swedish artist Åsa Jungnelius. With a strong emphasis on body and soul, color and form, Åsa Jungnelius’ artistic vision and symbolic aesthetic injects a strong sense of feminine power into every object she creates, and every home she moves into. The texture of the rug is created with a blend of wool and tencel that gives the rug a glossy finish. Tencel is a high quality version of viscose, and just like wool it is environmentally friendly and very durable. The rug is hand-woven, making each rug unique, which may result in a small variation in size and color. Due to its hand tufted construction, the rug has a tendency to initially shed fibers, so we recommend regular vacuuming.
