ARTIST Kasper Nyman (Denmark) KASPER NYMAN ABOUT THE ARTWORK Originally the idea for 'Cities of Basketball' came from a passion for basketball and a pure love of travel. The project slowly grew as an outlet to distract from work-related stress, but quickly developed into a never-ending journey to document and portray basketball from cities around the world.With an anthropological mindset, I am interested in showing basketball as a global language. That these courts have a deeply rooted history and reveal not only an aesthetic image, but represent a larger culture and platform used on a daily basis. I believe this project is never finished and has no deadline because ”Basket Never Stops”. ABOUT THE ARTIST Born (1986) and raised in the northern part of Denmark, Kasper Nyman has always had the desire to be creative. Kasper describes his process of constantly exploring various crafts and just trying to have fun in the process. He works in the field of motion graphics art direction with a global mindset and the goal of creating something extraordinary in an ordinary world. NB: Frame not included.
